Providing Quality General Dentistry For Optimal Oral Health

At our advanced cosmetic dental practice, we understand that a beautiful smile must also be healthy. Dr. George Burgess and his Team place great emphasis on his patient's total dental experience, with equal weight given to cosmetic and general dental procedures. Routine dental care is the key to healthy teeth and a bright smile. This includes exams, cleanings, oral hygiene, periodontal (gum) treatment, and cavity detection, as well as more serious procedures such as root canals, oral surgery, and full mouth reconstruction.

Oral Systemic Health

By thoroughly examining your mouth, we can determine whether your overall health is being negatively affected by a dental condition. There is an intertwining relationship between periodontal (gum) disease and severe health problems, which is why we are committed to educating our patients about their oral health, diagnosing and treating conditions in the early stages of development, preventing problems from worsening or reoccurring, and working with outside medical professionals to vastly improve your well-being. Contact us to learn more about oral systemic health.

Dental Implant Restoration

Dr. Burgess works with a select team of implant surgeons to help patients who wish to replace loose dentures, and those who wish to avoid them altogether. Dental implants provide a much more comfortable, secure, natural solution to dentures. Contact our practice today for more information.

Everything begins with a complete oral diagnosis. During your first appointment with your medical doctor you probably had a complete physical. Similarly, Dr. Burgess begins his new patient care with a complete oral examination. From this examination Dr. Burgess can plan your dental care and design a custom oral health maintenance program for you.

Preventive Care

Dr. Burgess recommends that you brush with a soft tooth brush at least twice a day, and that you floss daily to maintain your healthy smile between dental exams. He also recommends regular professional cleanings, oral exams, and fluoride treatments when necessary to keep teeth strong and disease-free. Please contact our office today to set up a cleaning and consultation.

Healthy gums are key to a healthy mouth and smile. Periodontal (gum) disease is a serious, but often painless problem. Also known as gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by a toxic bacteria build up. These bacteria, which live in plaque, can attack the mouth's soft tissues and jaw bones. Symptoms include swollen, red, often bleeding, gums. Prevention is the best solution, but if you suffer from symptoms of periodontal disease, please contact Dr. Burgess immediately. He is an expert at restoring your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state.

Endodontics (Root Canals)

Modern endodontic treatments are relatively quick and painless. A root canal treatment is necessary when the dental pulp / nerve in the root is infected or becomes injured in some way. When this occurs, a root canal treatment can actually save the damaged tooth. The procedure is performed under anesthesia and involves removing the damaged / diseased pulp tissue. The tooth is then sealed with a porcelain crown. If you think you may need a root canal, please contact our practice immediately.
